Here at Harcourts Kevin Deane Real Estate we have been thinking about some of the questions you may have around how the Level 4 lockdown affects your Real Estate journey.

Viewing Properties

We will not be able to take potential buyers through homes or meet you face to face.

Live Contracts

Live contracts with conditions due to be satisfied will have extensions put in place. We can’t order reports such as LIM or builders reports on properties.

Properties that are due to settle in this lockdown period will have their settlements extended to 10 working days after we move back down to Level 2.

We can’t physically come to your property at this time, but we can do a virtual current market analysis of your property if you need to find out where your property sits at the moment. However, we can only work with current stats, and these may change over the next few weeks.
If this is something you would like, please contact your preferred agent directly.

Coming through the financial crisis

As a company, we have the experience gained from the previous financial crisis to hit NZ in 2008. At this time and the months that followed, we had renewed interest in real estate as people turned to more secure forms of investment. Bricks and mortar were the fall back when financial uncertainty raised its ugly head.
Bearing this in mind, in these times of self-isolation, we have more time to plan for the future.
We encourage you to take this time to get those little jobs done around the house that you never have time for and be ready to hit the market once we bounce back from all of this.
Sort the shed, the garage and the attic.
Prune those trees, shrubs and hedges.
Strip that paint or wallpaper, and if you have the paint already, start painting.
Clean those fly stained surfaces, wash your windows and doors.
Waterblast those paths and driveways and decks.

And the upside to this……. You may have plenty of bored members of your “bubble” willing to help!

If we can assist you in your real estate matters during this time, please contact one of our agents directly, or you can contact Kevin or Andrea on 0800 CALL KDRE.
Stay safe and take care,

Kevin and Andrea Deane
