Methods of selling your farm

  • Auction
    Auctions create buyer competition by pitting buyer against buyer while providing an open and fair arena for competing interests on auction day.

    While auctions are similarly structured to the listing process, they are regarded as the premium choice of marketing. Auctions provide the very best means of achieving a premium or fair market value for your rural property within a specified time frame.   • Tender
    Tender works in a similar way to auctions, although there is no public auction day. Instead, tenders or offers made by interested parties close at a specific date as set by the seller.

    Tender generates opportunities where sellers are able to create competitive situations without stating a listed price. The seller lists the terms, conditions, and the deadline with prospective buyers only having one opportunity to put forward their best offer.

    Offers do not necessarily have to be accepted, as the seller is free to negotiation with any of the tenderers to achieve an optimum result.
  • Offers
    Offers are made by prospective sellers based on a listed price as dictated by the seller. Such offers can be time restricted or not, dependent on the sellers’ requirements.
