Ngaruawahia is a lovely, semi rural town in the heart of the Waikato. With the Waikato River running through it, it is very picturesque. The people of the town are very proud of their township and the connection to Maoridom with the Turangawaewae Marae, the home of the Maori King and also Turangawaewae House - the Maori Parliament, being a feature. There are many primary schools, a high school and also many sports clubs - rugby, rugby league, soccer, bowls and squash to name a few. We also have an awesome arts centre where local artists can display their craft.
